"Police Report" is a registered DBA in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and is wholly owned by Palo Media Group LLC.

A. What we use

C. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We honor Global Privacy Control ("GPC") signals as valid opt-out-of-sale/sharing requests, as required by the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA") and other applicable state privacy laws. When we detect a GPC signal from your browser, we will treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals because no uniform standard for responding to such signals has been adopted. If you wish to opt out of targeted advertising or the sale/sharing of your personal information, you may do so through our cookie consent manager, by clicking the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link on our site, or by enabling GPC in your browser.
HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
We share information as described below. Under the California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA"), some of these disclosures may constitute "selling" or "sharing" of personal information. California residents may opt out of such selling or sharing by clicking the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link on our site or by submitting a request as described in the "California-Specific Disclosure" section below.

MOBILE INFORMATION SHARING STATEMENT
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
We may share mobile information with service providers that help us deliver communications, operate our systems, provide customer support, prevent fraud, and maintain compliance. All categories above exclude text messaging originator opt in data and consent information, which will not be shared with third parties for marketing.
DATA RETENTION
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law, including for compliance, dispute resolution, auditing, and enforcement.
General retention rule
We generally retain personal information for up to 90 days after the most recent interaction, unless we need to retain it longer for legal, compliance, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, or recordkeeping purposes. When retention ends, we delete, anonymize, or securely store and isolate information until deletion is feasible.
DATA SECURITY AND HANDLING
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, monitoring, and encryption in transit where appropriate. We maintain a Written Information Security Program ("WISP") as required by applicable law, including Massachusetts 201 CMR 17.00, which establishes administrative, technical, and physical safeguards for the protection of personal information. Our security program includes employee training, access restrictions, encryption protocols, monitoring of systems for unauthorized access, and regular assessments of our security practices. No system is completely secure. You should use caution when sharing information online and use secure networks when possible.
DATA BREACH NOTIFICATION
In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and applicable regulatory authorities as required by Massachusetts G.L. c. 93H and other applicable state and federal laws. If Social Security numbers are compromised, we will provide at least eighteen (18) months of complimentary credit monitoring services as required by Massachusetts law.
AGE RESTRICTION
Our services are intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 as defined by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA"). We employ age-attestation mechanisms at data collection points to help prevent the submission of personal information by minors. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe a minor has provided information to us, contact hello@legalgiant.co and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

B. Rights for certain jurisdictions
Depending on where you live, you may have rights such as:

We will acknowledge receipt of your request and respond within forty-five (45) calendar days. If we require additional time, we will notify you of the extension (up to an additional 45 days) and the reason for the delay. We will verify your identity before processing your request by matching the information you provide with information we already maintain. If we cannot verify your identity, we will explain why we are unable to fulfill your request. If your request is denied, you may appeal the decision by contacting us using the methods listed above.
C. California specific disclosure (CPRA/CCPA)
This section provides additional disclosures required by the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA"), Cal. Civ. Code §§ 1798.100–1798.199.100.
Categories of Personal Information Collected: We collect the following categories of personal information as defined by CPRA: (1) Identifiers (name, email address, phone number, mailing address, IP address); (2) Personal information under Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.80(e) (name, address, telephone number); (3) Internet or other electronic network activity information (browsing history, search history, interactions with our website); (4) Geolocation data (approximate location derived from IP address); (5) Audio, electronic, visual, or similar information (call recordings, voicemails, chat transcripts); (6) Professional or employment-related information (if provided in intake forms); and (7) Inferences drawn from the above categories.
Categories of Sensitive Personal Information Collected: We collect the following categories of Sensitive Personal Information ("SPI") as defined by CPRA § 1798.140(ae): contents of mail, email, and text messages where Police Report is not the intended recipient of the communication. SPI may be used for quality assurance, compliance, and fraud prevention purposes. You may limit our use of your SPI to purposes authorized by CPRA § 1798.121 by clicking the "Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information" link on our site.
Sources of Personal Information: We collect personal information directly from you, automatically through your interactions with our site, and from third-party partners including analytics providers, advertising platforms, and data enrichment services.
Business and Commercial Purposes for Collection: We collect and use personal information for the following purposes: (a) providing and operating our services, including police-report directory and legal referral services; (b) communicating with you, including sending service, informational, and marketing messages; (c) quality assurance, compliance, and fraud prevention; (d) analytics and site improvement; (e) advertising and marketing, including targeted advertising through third-party partners; and (f) legal and operational purposes.

(2) Right to Delete: You may request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions. (3) Right to Correct: You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information. (4) Right to Opt Out of Sale/Sharing: You may opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information by clicking the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link on our site, by enabling Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser, or by contacting us. (5) Right to Limit Use of SPI: You may limit our use of your Sensitive Personal Information to purposes authorized under CPRA by clicking the "Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information" link on our site. (6) Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights under CPRA.

We will respond within 45 calendar days of receiving your verifiable request. If additional time is needed, we will notify you of the extension and the reason. We will verify your identity by matching information you provide with information we maintain. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with valid written authorization.
D. Additional State Privacy Rights
Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other states with comprehensive consumer privacy laws may have similar rights to those described in the California section above, including the right to access, correct, delete, and opt out of targeted advertising and the sale of personal information. We honor the Universal Opt-Out Mechanism, including Global Privacy Control (GPC), as a valid opt-out signal under applicable state laws. To exercise your rights under any applicable state privacy law, contact us using the methods described in Section B above. If we deny your request, you may appeal our decision by contacting us using the methods described above. We will respond to your appeal within the timeframe required by applicable law.
NOTICE AT COLLECTION
Pursuant to CPRA § 1798.100(b), we provide this Notice at Collection to inform you, at or before the point of collection, of the categories of personal information we collect and the purposes for which such information is used. Before submitting any personal information through our website forms, search tools, chat features, or other data collection points, please review the "Information We Collect" and "How We Use Information" sections of this Privacy Policy. A link to this Privacy Policy is provided at every point where we collect personal information. We collect personal information for the business and commercial purposes described in this Policy and may share it with the categories of third parties identified in the "How We Share Information" section. We do not use or disclose Sensitive Personal Information for purposes other than those authorized by CPRA § 1798.121, unless you have provided consent or the use is otherwise permitted by law.
